This Experiential Workshop Series centers on mindful immersion and embodied mindfulness practices that weave together presence, fun, and inspiration through guided meditations, creative journaling, movement, and other experiential practices. Each workshop explores an essential dimension of being human—you will leave with your mind, body, and spirit refreshed.
Even a brief break from daily routine can restore clarity and reconnect us to what truly matters. These half-day and one-day mini retreats are designed as intentional pauses—spaces to step out of autopilot and come back into relationship with yourself.
Jessica Bane Robert, and occasionally other guest experts, will be your guides and facilitators.

Mind, Body, Rebirth Mini Retreat
About the Retreat:
Step into spring with an afternoon designed to help you release what feels heavy, reconnect with yourself, and gently step into what is ready to emerge.
Join us at Barred Owl Retreat for a guided mini retreat featuring ritual, meditation, reflective journaling, a transformational yoga experience, and an immersive sound journey. Together, we’ll clear the old and intentionally plant the new — supporting renewal in body, mind, and spirit.
Special guest yoga instructor Bonnie Hope Dellerose will lead the innovative Renew Body Sequence™, a powerful somatic practice inspired by the human life cycle — from birth to rebirth. Through mindful movement, music, and mantra, this deeply embodied experience helps release stored tension and awaken resilience. No experience needed — all levels welcome.
What to bring:
Yoga mat (if you have one), plus a blanket or shawl for comfort.

Mind, Body, Memoir – Mindfulness and Personal Narrative
About the Retreat:
This intimate overnight retreat blends mindfulness practices with storytelling. Writers of all genres and all levels welcome. Through guided meditation, breath, embodied awareness, and generative writing prompts, participants access memory and lived experience. The pace is slow and spacious, allowing stories to emerge with care. Participants will experience an inspirational sound journey and have plenty of free time to write.
Practices: Guided meditation, breathing techniques, expressive arts, compassionate memoir-style writing, and sound journey

Mini Retreat Policies and terms
Payments: Are due in full at time of registration for the Mini Retreat series to hold your spot. They exclude flights, transportation, tips, are nonrefundable, and nontransferable.
Participant Cancelation Policy: If you wish to cancel your retreat experience, you must notify the host via email at: jess@barredolwretreat.com at least 1 week prior to the retreat. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving early. Payments will be refunded only if we can fill your spot from the waitlist. The Host may offer a transfer to a future offering at the Barred Owl when possible.
Retreat Cancellations: The Host reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary; including, but not limited to: advertised activities, advertised collaborations, or advertised meals, etc. In the rare case of a retreat cancellation, the host will offer a transfer to another retreat (if possible) or a full refund of your payment within 14 days. The Host reserves the right to cancel any retreat in the event of too few bookings or any unforeseen acts of God or weather occur, in which case you will be given a refund of payments made to The Host.
