About

“My gift is in holding space for you to soften amidst the noise and distractions of the world
so that you can hear the wisdom and truth within.”

Jessica Bane Robert

About Me

The foundation of my work began in childhood, growing up off the grid in a log cabin built by my father on a mountain in Maine. Stillness, solitude, and an intimate connection with the land formed my earliest education in presence. Writing and creativity became pathways for exploring my inner world and remaining attuned to the interconnection of the outer world. I later immersed myself more fully in creative writing, mindfulness, and various therapeutic modalities through the long arc of healing from adverse childhood experiences and chronic illness—practices that became anchors, teachers, and lifelines. Those explorations presently inform the way I hold space for and foster healing for others, especially women navigating new chapters and seeking a return to their own deep wisdom. My work centers on helping individuals shape lives rooted in clarity, purpose, and peace.

With a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and experience as a professor of mindfulness at Clark University, I’ve spent more than two decades leading people through guided meditation, expressive arts activities, and nature-rooted practices. My background includes certifications in Mindfulness Coaching, NLP Coaching, Retreat Leadership, Forest Therapy, Sound Healing, and Ecstatic & Conscious Dance.

As a seasoned holder of sacred space, I create environments where people feel safe enough to slow down and reconnect with their inherent worth, intuition, and inner balance. I weave science-backed mindfulness tools with intuitive, and spiritual insight to offer experiences that feel both accessible and resonant in an increasingly fast-paced world.

My retreats and workshops focus on self-discovery through holistic, mindfulness-based practices. Every offering is inclusive, trauma-aware, and grounded in deep compassion for the complexity and tenderness of being human.

At the Barred Owl Retreat, immersive experiences invite participants to come home to themselves—their stories, gifts, and desires—and to reconnect with their truest selves and inner wisdom. Time away from noise and distraction creates space to wander, play, rest, reflect, and remember who we are and the lives we are creating. I hold a vision of a world where we move forward with intention, beauty, and balance, and I am devoted to supporting others as they navigate change and step into lives that feel aligned and wholehearted.
